O'Reilly Raceway Park now known as Lucas Oil Raceway: Lucas Oil Products has expanded its visibility at Indianapolis-area sports sites, adding naming rights to a motor sports facility to go with a football stadium. Forrest Lucas' company acquired rights to O'Reilly Raceway Park in Clermont. It's now known as Lucas Oil Raceway. Lucas secured the rights to Lucas Oil Stadium, home to the Indianapolis Colts, in 2008. Built as Indianapolis Raceway Park six decades ago, the facility is home to drag racing's most prestigious event, the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals, held Labor Day weekend. The oval track on the property has NASCAR Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series races in July and an assortment of U.S. Auto Club and ARCA races. Terms of Lucas' multiyear contract with NHRA, which owns the facility, were not revealed. In the stadium deal, Lucas agreed to pay $120 million over 20 years. Lucas, a former truck driver, founded the company, which produces premium lines of oils, greases and automotive additives, in 1989. It is based in Corona, Calif., with a bottling facility in Corydon, Ind. In addition to sponsoring traditional race cars, Lucas Oil is involved in seemingly everything in motor racing, from boats to motorcycles to monster trucks and tractor pulls. Its other racetracks are in Wheatland, Mo., and Blythe, Calif. In 2010, Lucas and his wife, Charlotte, purchased the Hilbert mansion in Carmel for $3 million.(Indianapolis Star)(1-10-2010)

2011 New Hampshire Motor Speedway Schedule Includes New England's Three Largest Sporting Events
LOUDON, N.H. (Jan. 6, 2010) - The most ambitious racing schedule in the 21-year history of New Hampshire Motor Speedway includes the three largest sporting events to be held in New England during 2011.
For the 15th consecutive year, "The Magic Mile" will host two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series dates with the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 on Sunday, July 17, and the SYLVANIA 300 on Sunday, Sept. 25.
In addition to the two NASCAR weekends, a "New Breed of Speed" will invade the 1.058-mile oval on Sunday, Aug. 14 when the IZOD IndyCar(r) Series returns after a 13-year hiatus. Indianapolis 500 winners Dario Franchitti, Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon and female racing sensation Danica Patrick are among those who will battle wheel-to-wheel at speeds approaching 200 mph.
The action-packed schedule begins May 17-22 with the 21st Annual Vintage Racing Celebration. Classic car enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see vintage midgets, sprint cars, champ cars, roadsters, NASCAR stock cars, sports cars and formula cars competing on the 1.058-mile oval and 1.6-mile road-course. A two-day car show and automotive flea market will also be part of the celebration on May 21-22.
On June 17-19, the oldest motorcycle event in North America returns to New Hampshire Motor Speedway with the 88th running of the Loudon Classic. Many of the world's top two-wheel racers will be in action on the challenging 12-turn road course as the weekend features more than 20 races and wraps up the legendary Laconia Bike Week.
The 2011 season of speed also features races for the NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the American-Canadian Tour.

Scott Paddock Named President of Chicagoland Speedway
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – January 4, 2011 – International Speedway Corporation (NASDAQ Global Select Market: ISCA; OTC Bulletin Board: ISCB) ("ISC") today announced that Scott Paddock has been named President of Chicagoland Speedway, effective January 18. Mr. Paddock formerly served as Director of Sports Marketing for the Gatorade Company, a division of PepsiCo Inc.
Mr. Paddock, 42, a 15-year veteran in the sports marketing industry, will report to ISC President, John R. Saunders and will be responsible for all operations of Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway.
“We are excited to have Scott join our Company,” stated Saunders. “This is an important year for Chicagoland as we will celebrate its 10th year of operation and host the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.”
Saunders continued, “Scott is a proven professional sports marketing executive having managed Gatorade’s involvement in NASCAR as well as the other major sports leagues like the NFL. Also, with Scott being a well-respected marketing professional within greater Chicago, we are confident that he will elevate the prominence of our multi-purpose motorsports complex within the business community of the third largest market in the country.”
Joining Gatorade in 1998, Mr. Paddock was most recently responsible for the management of the brand’s $120 million sports marketing sponsorship portfolio, including all league, team and spokesperson relations and negotiations. Prior to joining Gatorade, Mr. Paddock was with Sports Partners, a sports marketing and advertising agency that specialized in assisting corporate clients in activating their sponsorship rights and assets.

He was a professional basketball player and a starter on the 1995 United States National Team. Mr. Paddock was also named a member of the Sports Business Journal's prestigious Forty Under Forty class for 2008. He and his wife reside in Orland Park, Illinois, and have two daughters.
