Memphis International Raceway Enhances Staff with Addition of Tyler Crossnoe

January 30, 2014 (Millington, Tenn.) - Memphis International Raceway (MIR) welcomes Tyler Crossnoe to the team. Crossnoe joins MIR as Drag Strip Manager. He will assist in the growth of Memphis International Raceway as we head into our third full season.

Crossnoe joins MIR as Drag Strip Manager in a full time capacity effective February 3, 2014. Previously Crossnoe worked with MIR in a part time capacity in 2013. He brings experience and knowledge from the industry to MIR. Crossnoe will work directly with Paul Cartwright, MIR Director of Race & Facility Operations on track maintenance, track prep and event operations and promotions. Having previous experience working at various other drag racing facilities and companies, Crossnoe comes to MIR from VP Racing after working as a Traction Compound Specialist.

"I am pleased to have Tyler join the team here at MIR," said Paul Cartwright, "Tyler is a hard-working and energetic addition to our team." Cartwright continued, "As we expand our racing schedules at each of our facilities, Tyler will assist me in making each event successful."

"We have one of the most versatile and premier motorsport and entertainment facilities and it is my goal to assemble a great team at MIR," said Pam Kendrick, Vice-President of MIR. "By adding Crossnoe to the team, we will continue to move in the right direction to ensure the success of the track."

NOTE 'N FANTASY TRACK TIPS

Know The Track -
NASCAR races are run on a variety of tracks such as flat tracks, road courses, super speedways and short tracks.
Some drivers do better or worse on different track types so check their stats. If the race is on a short track like Bristol or Richmond, where wrecks can be frequent, consider starting fewer big names and go with guys who will be spread out through the pack. That way a wreck up front won't take out all of your drivers.Check The Average Start Position -
If your league awards qualifying points, you'll want to have drivers in your lineup who consistently qualify in the top 4 to increase your chance of getting extra points.
Who Won The Nationwide Series Race Yesterday? - There is usually a Nationwide series race the day before a NASCAR Cup series race. Many of the Cup drivers compete in the Busch race and drivers who finish well there usually do well in the big race the next day, sometimes with back to back wins.
