PHOENIX AT 50: A HALF CENTURY OF RACING NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON AMAZON.COM
PHOENIX, Ariz.
- To celebrate and acknowledge its 50th anniversary, Phoenix
International Raceway published a limited-edition commemorative book,
‘Phoenix At 50: A Half-Century of Racing’
documenting the last five decades of racing in the Valley of the Sun.
After debuting during PIR’s spring NASCAR race weekend, the book is now
available for purchase online at Amazon.com.
Fans can find the book by searching for
‘Phoenix International Raceway’ or ‘Phoenix at 50’. The book, which
retails for $49.99, is a comprehensive journey through the track’s first
50 years, featuring a series of vignettes and
short stories focusing on many of the most exciting races and the
greatest drivers to compete in Phoenix.
PIR has been a part of the motor sports
scene since 1964. From its genesis as an open-wheel destination through
its present-day status as a stock car haven, the one-mile desert oval
has built its reputation as a unique challenge
for drivers and as a memory maker for all who have visited over the
last 50 years.
