Hello from Homestead-Miami Speedway,

The beginning of March saw Team Penske conduct IZOD IndyCar Series testing at Homestead-Miami Speedway (photo attached). The remainder of March will showcase a variety of motorsports events including the return of our Speedway T-n-T competition to combat illegal street racing on South Florida roadways. The GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series will conduct a test which is open to the public in advance of the “Grand Prix of Miami”. Attached please find an interactive calendar with many of the exciting events that keep Homestead-Miami Speedway active 280 days a year. From novice to professional, there’s a motorsports experience waiting for you whether it’s the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience or the Equipe Rapide Sports Car Club. Also this month, check out AMA Pro Motorcycle testing in preparation of the inaugural Big Kahuna Miami to be held September 21-23, 2012.

NOTE 'N FANTASY TRACK TIPS

Know The Track -
NASCAR races are run on a variety of tracks such as flat tracks, road courses, super speedways and short tracks.
Some drivers do better or worse on different track types so check their stats. If the race is on a short track like Bristol or Richmond, where wrecks can be frequent, consider starting fewer big names and go with guys who will be spread out through the pack. That way a wreck up front won't take out all of your drivers.Check The Average Start Position -
If your league awards qualifying points, you'll want to have drivers in your lineup who consistently qualify in the top 4 to increase your chance of getting extra points.
Who Won The Nationwide Series Race Yesterday? - There is usually a Nationwide series race the day before a NASCAR Cup series race. Many of the Cup drivers compete in the Busch race and drivers who finish well there usually do well in the big race the next day, sometimes with back to back wins.
