Clint Bowyer and Michael Waltrip to participate in a free question-and-answer session

DOVER, Del. – For the third straight spring, Dover International Speedway will offer race fans the unique, free opportunity to roam the frontstretch of the Monster Mile with the return of the 5-hour ENERGY Open Track Session.

The event will be on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., and is open and free for ticket holders for that afternoon’s “5-hour ENERGY 200” NASCAR Nationwide Series race. Fans should enter the track at Gate 18 outside of Turn 1, and will have the ability to walk the frontstretch of the track and see the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars on pit road preparing for the morning practice session.

As an added bonus, Clint Bowyer, driver of the No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota, and his team owner Michael Waltrip, will drop by to participate in a free question-and-answer session at 9 a.m. on the prerace stage at the start-finish line for fans in attendance. The Dover International Speedway pace car will also be on display for photo opportunities.

To enter the Open Track Session, all fans must have their June 1 “5-hour ENERGY 200” NASCAR Nationwide Series ticket with them. The ticket will be scanned upon entry and exit, to permit reentrance for the on-track activities, including the race, later in the day. Coolers are not permitted on the track.

NASCAR returns to Dover International Speedway May 31-June 2, 2013 for the June 2 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, the June 1 “5-hour ENERGY 200” NASCAR Nationwide Series race and the May 31 “Lucas Oil 200” NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.
