WATKINS GLEN, NY (January 15, 2013) – Watkins Glen International and Kellogg Company announced Tuesday that Cheez-It®, the iconic snack brand, has signed a multi-year agreement to be the title sponsor of The Glen’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. The Cheez-It 355™ at The Glen weekend is August 8-11, 2013.

"We are excited to welcome the Kellogg Company and Cheez-It® to the Watkins Glen International family as our NASCAR event weekend sponsor," Watkins Glen International President Michael Printup said. "This partnership adds another chapter to our rich racing history and provides an array of opportunities for all involved. This is the company’s first race entitlement sponsorship, although the Cheez-It® brand’s parent, the Kellogg Company, has been involved with NASCAR since 1991.

Cheez-It™ 355 at The Glen is the marquee event of the August 8-11 weekend at Watkins Glen International. Racing starts Saturday with the NASCAR Nationwide Series Zippo 200 and continues with Sunday’s Cheez-It™ 355 at The Glen. Run under the title Finger Lakes 355 at The Glen in 2012, "355" signifies the distance of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race 90 laps for 220.5 miles in kilometers.

Know The Track -
NASCAR races are run on a variety of tracks such as flat tracks, road courses, super speedways and short tracks.
Some drivers do better or worse on different track types so check their stats. If the race is on a short track like Bristol or Richmond, where wrecks can be frequent, consider starting fewer big names and go with guys who will be spread out through the pack. That way a wreck up front won't take out all of your drivers.Check The Average Start Position -
If your league awards qualifying points, you'll want to have drivers in your lineup who consistently qualify in the top 4 to increase your chance of getting extra points.
Who Won The Nationwide Series Race Yesterday? - There is usually a Nationwide series race the day before a NASCAR Cup series race. Many of the Cup drivers compete in the Busch race and drivers who finish well there usually do well in the big race the next day, sometimes with back to back wins.
